316 Stainless Steel is a Chromium-Nickel-Moly Austenitic Stainless Steel with good strength and excelent corrosion resistance, and is supplied in the annealed condition with a typical hardness of approximately 195 Bhn in the cold drawn condition. 316 Stainless Steel is classified as Marine Grade due to it’s increased corrosion resistance, and with added Molybdenum, has increased corrosion resistance to chemicals.

STAINLESS STEEL KEY STEEL TOLERANCES
All 304 S/S Metric Sizes are supplied to Din 6880 tolerance (refer our standard Key Steel Data sheet for tolerances), and our Imperial 304 Stainless (with only a few exceptions) are supplied oversize. In our 316 Stainless steel Key Steel, all sizes are supplied Undersize, with the Metric also conforming to Din 6880, and Imperial Size Tolerances supplied on application.
